Agrium is on the Top 100 Employers list, an evaluation sponsored by MacLean's magazine. Agrium was chosen from the 24,000 companies that were invited to reply. We have also been one of Alberta's Top 50 (sponsored by Calgary Inc.) from 2007-2010.

Agrium Advanced Technologies does take health and safety very seriously and works to instill a culture of safety at every location. We also involve the community in emergency response planning to ensure that we have the knowledge and resources to handle any situation efficiently and calmly.

We believe Agrium employees show real heart in our United Way campaigns. In 2009, our employees raised almost $600,000. As Agrium matches each dollar contributed by employees our donation to the United Way in 2009 was in excess of a million dollars! Our employees tell us they also had a lot of fun participating in events. Although the United Way is a central way all locations give back, Agrium has many more programs that support our communities, especially children.

Leadership development is important at Agrium. We hold an annual Leadership Forum that brings together the senior leaders from around the world. At this event external speakers provide global perspectives on what it means to be a leader in today's global economy, both from an individual and a Company perspective.

We're also proud to operate a leadership group for women called Agrium Women's Leadership Group (AWLG). This is a grassroots group, with senior leadership support, that focuses on professional development for women. Men are also invited to relevant AWLG events to facilitate partnerships.
